The Lauderhill CRA purchased
Renaissance Plaza, located on the SE corner of NW 19 St and
NW 55 Ave, on February 22, 2007. The CRA has made several
improvements to upgrade the property:
- Demolition of west building
- Removal of pay phones and upgrade of lighting
- Installation of security camera
- Installation of new fencing to secure rear parking lot
- Establishment of the Lauderhill Arts Center
Planned improvements for 2008 include:
- Landscaping on west edge of property to match the theme of the new Renaissance Park recently completed to the north along NW 55 Avenue.
- Building improvements to the roof and walkways to allow more natural lighting and visibility.
- Expansion of Lauderhill Arts Center and establishment of a Gallery for the display of art work produced in the Incubator.
- Completion of fencing to secure all areas of property other than the parking lot.
